The concept of Shamrock Leathers began at the 1968 Minnesota State Shoot when Ed Brophy accompanied a college friend to watch the competition. A self-taught master craftsman, Ed's creative love for leather was cultivated in his early years growing up with horses and a special 7th grade teacher. He started tooling leather at the age of eleven. Attending college for an industrial technology education degree, Ed and Carol became partners in an endeavor to develop the best leather accessory to the clay target shooting market - the shell bag.

Today, Shamrock Leathers remains the premiere domestic manufacturer of quality leather products in St. Joseph, MN, an official ATA licensee, and supplier of products internationally. Our commitment is to customer satisfaction, whether it be as a personal purchase or a gun club award program.

There have been a lot of changes since we started in a 8x12 add-on to a mobile home. With a 4000 square foot facility and a staff of 10, one thing hasn't changed - the Shamrock Leathers commitment to manufacturing excellence and innovation in leather crafting continues.
